3rd Avenue Bridge

+ Foodtown Mystery and Changes Coming to this Newsletter

By now the FDR yields to the Harlem River Drive, which is itself a whole other tour that spans between the Triborough Bridge and the George Washington Bridge. Up here the river is almost streamlike and the short crossing at Third Avenue might hark back to those kissing bridges of colonial Manhattan where lovers canoodled over waterways banked by oyster middens.

CHANGES COMING TO THE HARLEM NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER

The Harlem Neighborhood Block Association Newsletter is changing.

The indefatigable founder and editor is stepping down and a team of editor-writers will try to keep it going as the newsletter switches to a three times a week format, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning January 6, 2025.

We will try to keep up with event announcements but please be patient as the new team adjusts. We have very big shoes to fill.
