NEW YORK, NY – On Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 a.m. (EDT), Representative Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) will host United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg in the district to announce next steps in completion of Phase II of the Second Avenue Subway (SASII). 

Last week, Rep. Espaillat and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer announced a full funding grant agreement (FFGA) for the Second Avenue Subway Phase 11 (SAS II) project issued by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The $3.4 billion federal funding will allow the project to proceed to extend the Q train from 96th street to 125th street in East Harlem.
