Dapper Dan's autobiography notes that he not only grew up at 129/ Lexington, but he was born in a tenement that used to exist at that intersection:

He also mentions going to school at All Saints School at 130/Madison:

as a child. The school Dapper Dan attended has been converted into a charter school after the Catholic Church sold this landmarked complex.
