HNBA Will See You in September!
Greetings HNBA Subscribers!
Our volunteers are currently on summer vacation and hope that you are enjoying these final days of warm weather.
Did you know that for more than 25 years, the Harlem Neighborhood Block Association has been a steady presence in our community as a convener of tenants, homeowners and stakeholders within Northeast Harlem. We are a community organization representing 2,000 members strong—neighbors living between 118th and 130th Streets, from 2nd Avenue to Lenox—working together to share resources, uplift local stories, and strengthen the fabric of everyday life.
· We serve as a trusted hub for connection, care, and information—because when neighbors are informed and engaged, our community thrives.
· We’re more than a mailing list—we’re a shared effort to build a neighborhood rooted in knowledge and trust.
· We believe that when neighbors know each other, support one another, and stay informed, our entire community grows stronger.
Although we are not an activist organization, we are a strong and trusted advocate for the entire community. We help to heighten awareness of concerns (e.g. – housing, safety, education, healthcare, etc.) and connect residents to resources & organizations while allowing constituents to form their own opinions and act accordingly as individuals. We encourage anyone committed to a cause for the community to collaborate with activist organizations that are setup to champion critical concerns, such as the Greater Harlem Coalition.
Stay tuned this Fall when we will resume our Harlem Neighborhood Block Association newsletter— see you in September!
