MUSA, THE MURAL AT CHERRY TREE PLAYGROUND
Taking inspiration from Nas’ hit “One Mic,” the ONE WALL MOVEMENT was developed to provide public visual artists with a canvas to work freely and create an organic reflection of their lived experiences rather than set restrictions on their subject matter. It launched with the production of Musa, a large-scale mural by Mattaya Fitts at Cherry Tree Playground (formerly known as the George Washington Houses Playground) at East 99th Street just east of Third Avenue. The mural is dedicated to Clemente Flores, a longtime resident of the adjacent El Barrio Artspace.

Treehopper
Treehopper is a game you play outside in NYC. Here's how it works: There are exactly 592 tree species (Maple, Ginseng, Chestnut, etc) among the more than 1.02M trees in NYC. Treehopper is a race to be the first, fastest player to find all 592 tree types. Each time you find a tree, you will be given a map to the closest tree whose type you haven't collected yet. Use ANY public tree in NYC as your starting point. Harlem’s parks are full of different types of trees, and as spring is starting, this is a fun, outdoor game to go with a good walk. Start playing by clicking this link, or typing in Treehopper.xyz into your search bar.
