SNAPs Restaurant Meals Program
The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) partners with restaurants to provide a “Restaurant Meals Program (RMP)” which allows some Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) households the option to purchase prepared meals at participating restaurants with their SNAP benefits using their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
Households using SNAP benefits to purchase meals at participating restaurants receive a 10% discount on the cost of their meal. When purchasing prepared meals at participating restaurants, households will be responsible for covering the entire, discounted cost of their meals.
According to the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance website, some restaurants included in the program are Nomas Restaurant on 207th Street, Burger King on East 125th Street, and Ray's Pizza Bar on 162nd street. People hoping to use their benefits should check with the restaurants first to ensure they are still participating in the program.

Harlem’s Very Own Pimpcaso
Pimpcaso, an emerging artist, has been leaving small artworks and texts plastered around Harlem. The message of the art is often a boast about Pimpcaso’s greatness, or the artist’s reflections on the external world. Stuck to lamp posts, mailboxes, and walls, Pimpcaso’s work has been springing up for the past few months, Harlem’s very own ‘guerrilla artist’. The work adds onto the the layers of Harlem and makes a walk to the grocery store a bit more interesting. Take a look around on your next walkabout!
