Baby Job Boxes on Park Avenue

If you've noticed the small locked 'job-boxes' along Park Avenue between 115/122 and wondered what they are, they're small seismographers - measuring vibrations caused by the work done to replace that stretch of the Metro North tracks.

They're bolted to the sidewalk, and taking readings 24/7 so the engineers can assess the impact of work on neighboring buildings
