You're Invited: HNBA's Community Meeting Tonight at 7

Everyone Welcome. Bring a Neighbor

Tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00 PM, come out to meet some neighbors at our monthly community meeting. Come to the Salvation Army building (2306 3rd Avenue) on the 2nd floor:

HNBA’s Vice President (Shawn) will present the latest data from New York City’s Chief Medical Officer on the overdose death crisis. This new data shows how our community is impacted by narcotics and provides insight into not only the geography of this pandemic but also how it breaks down in terms of gender, race, drug of choice, location of death, etc.

In addition, we will have Marielena Chacon, a Senior Community Health Worker, introduce us to the Perinatal and Infant Community Health Collaborative Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership - a great resource for Harlem neighbors who are expecting or who’ve just given birth.

We’ll also have a presentation from Flood Net - a group of researchers, community members, and NYC - working to help alert you and all New Yorkers when a flood event is imminent. As we all know, with climate change, New York is getting wetter and wetter. Learn more about how Flood Net is installing flooding sensors and a notification network to help you and your family know exactly what the flood conditions are outside. Whether at home, in a vehicle, out walking, or trying to take the subway, you need to know about flooding’s potential impact on you.

Lastly, HNBA will also discuss planning for the annual Holiday Party - Thursday, December 14th, at 6:30 PM.

See you tonight.
