You're Invited: HNBA's Community Meeting Tuesday at 7

Everyone Welcome. Bring a Neighbor

On Tuesday (November 14th) at 7:00 PM, come out to meet some neighbors at our monthly community meeting. Come to the Salvation Army building (2306 3rd Avenue) on the 2nd floor:

Officers from Manhattan North - the overarching NYPD group that manages crime and public safety above Central Park will be there to hear from you on the safety issues you want the NYPD in Harlem to focus on. This is your chance to speak to the department that overarches our local precincts and reports directly to the commissioner at 1 Police Plaza, downtown.

In addition, we will have Marielena Chacon, a Senior Community Health Worker, introduce us to the Perinatal and Infant Community Health Collaborative Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership - a great resource for Harlem neighbors who are expecting or who’ve just given birth.

We’ll also have a presentation from Flood Net - a group of researchers, community members, and NYC - working to help alert you and all New Yorkers when a flood event is imminent. As we all know, with climate change, New York is getting wetter and wetter. Learn more about how Flood Net is installing flooding sensors and a notification network to help you and your family know exactly what the flood conditions are outside. Whether you are at home, in a vehicle, out walking, or trying to take the subway, you need to know about flooding’s potential impact on you.

Lastly, HNBA will also discuss planning for the annual Holiday Party - Thursday, December 14th, at 6:30 PM.

See you on Tuesday.
